I have to admitted!!! The product is ok,,
I bought it for my Evo '11, due to above comments, about the loud swooos sound.
But i was expecting more the "swooos" sound.
I dont know about the people commented above, they said the sound is loud, but not mine.
Its ok...now i can hear my turbo spooling and the booost running in the pipes.
7-10... just for the BOV SOUND...

i just installed this product into my car and it was completely amazing!!!!! i was like OH MY GOD!!! it sounds amazing and im very happy with it :D i really recommend it, stop looking for another intake and just get this one :D and best part is that its completely street legal which is a great thing you know, me being a smog tech in cali and all :D

Purchased this kit for my 08 Evo X MR. I have to say I'm impressed with the BOV sound, even for my evo being a automatic. Instructions were a bit confusing, but all in all money well spent. No complaints.

I just purchased and installed this injen intake kit for my EVO X 2008. I'm not really a big mecanic either but I managed to install this part in only 2 hours in my driveway during winter! It is by far exceeding my expectations. The sound coming out of it is VERY LOUD, you can hear the turbo spooling even at low RPM, and the stock BOV sound very good. I really don't think you should buy an after market BOV for 350$, the sound cannot really get any better ( I think). I strongly recommend this item as a first MOD on an EVO X, really worth it!

I recently purchased this item for my 2008 Evo GSR. I'm not that guy that everyone turns to when they have car questions or even general mechanical questions.. Having said that I was still able to install this intake myself - It took me a few hours to get it installed mainly because I was being overly cautious with everything surrounding the intake. Also I was making sure I wasn't missing any steps at all on the fully detailed instruction packet. Which leads me to this - The instruction packet was roughly 7-10 (don't recall exactly) pages of fully detailed pictures and descriptions, it was extremely helpful. There is no way I could have done it without that packet. There was plenty of packing materials in the box that I received. I didn't see any dings or scratches at all on any of the parts. However one thing I will say, I ordered the black version of this intake and I just sort of assumed that all of the pieces would be black.. Not so - The heatshield was just plain old silver or an unpainted metal I guess you could say. It looked a bit out of place (to me) next to the perfect black finish of the intake. I picked up some BBQ Grille touch-up spray paint and took care of that little issue though. After the install was complete I started up the car and I honestly couldn't tell a difference at all.. I was actually stunned, It sounded just like it did 3 hours before. I backed out of my garage and started to go down my street - it was at that point that I heard a very loud and very aggressive sounding swooosh (vacuum) sound coming from behind my dash and under my hood. It just kept getting louder and louder with the climbing RPM's. I actually started to smile from ear to ear. I then shifted to 2nd and heard my stock BOV for the first time ever. It was so loud that I was hearing an echo off of the houses to my left and right. It honest to god sounded like it was from Fast and the Furious. My car is completely stock other than this intake yet it sounds like a completely different car now. I could also feel a huge difference in power (once I was out of my neighborhood that is). It actually feels a lot quicker now at lower RPMs. Hell, it's a lot quicker even at higher RPM's.. 5th gear pulls not only sound amazing but they feel amazing too. I've put on roughly 400 miles since my install and I'm also getting improved gas mileage as well. I'm a very happy camper. So far this product has beyond exceeded my high expectations - I really can't recommend it highly enough. :)

I installed this on my Evo X 2010 GSR and it sounds great with better spooling. Love the sound of the stock BOV.

I just got this system last week and it's great. I installed it in my garage by myself in about 90 minutes. the turbo spools much faster and louder with plenty of blow off and no turbo flutter. No more loosing boost at high RPMs. It also looks pretty swee
